Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said the Indian Defence Forces are fully prepared to face any challenge, speaking at a commemorative event in Dras on the eve of the 27th Kargil Vijay Diwas. His remarks underlined India’s focus on military readiness at a time when security concerns remain active.
Singh said hostile intentions have not changed and pointed to tactics such as proxy war and infiltration. His statement suggested that India continues to view these methods as ongoing threats and is keeping its forces alert to deal with them.
The comments came during an event linked to Kargil Vijay Diwas, which is observed in memory of the conflict and the role played by Indian soldiers. By speaking in Dras, a place closely associated with that chapter, the defence minister tied remembrance of past sacrifice to present-day preparedness.
