Juan Pablo Montoya believes Kimi Antonelli is becoming the driver everyone else in Formula 1 has to chase. After Antonelli's strong victory at the Belgian Grand Prix, the former F1 driver suggested the Mercedes teenager looks fully settled and increasingly hard for his rivals to disrupt.
Montoya's view is that Antonelli is now racing from a place of confidence rather than survival. Describing the championship leader as being in his comfort zone, he pointed to a driver who appears calm, in control and able to deliver without looking stretched by the pressure around him.
That assessment matters because Antonelli is not just collecting results, but doing so with growing authority. A commanding Belgian GP win only added to the impression that his title campaign has real momentum, leaving a bigger question over which rival can consistently challenge him if this level continues.
For Mercedes, the latest performance reinforces the sense that Antonelli is developing quickly into the benchmark at the front. For the rest of the field, Montoya's warning is simple: stopping a championship leader who looks this comfortable may become much harder in the races ahead.
