An Ahmedabad man has filed a cheating complaint against a visa consultancy in Navrangpura after returning from Moscow, alleging he was misled in a Russia visa and job matter. The case centers on claims that the firm took money for promised services but did not complete the work lawfully.
According to the complaint, the man paid Rs 3.19 lakh to the consultancy. He has alleged that despite taking the money, the firm neither delivered the legal work as expected nor returned the amount.
The FIR adds to concerns around overseas job and visa promises made through private consultancies. In this case, the complainant has accused the company of cheating in connection with arrangements linked to travel and employment in Russia.
The matter is now in the hands of investigators, who will examine the payment trail, the services promised, and whether any refund obligation was ignored. The case highlights the risks faced by people seeking foreign jobs and visas through intermediaries.
