The Westfield Starfires opened the scoring Saturday night, but they could not turn that start into a win, falling 3-1 to the Nashua Silver Knights at Bullens Field. The game was played during Kacey Bellamy Bobblehead Night, giving the evening a special local spotlight despite the final result.

Westfield briefly had the early edge, but Nashua recovered and did enough offensively to move in front. From there, the Silver Knights protected the lead and handed the Starfires another close defeat.

With the loss, Westfield moved to 17-27 on the season. The outcome added to a difficult stretch for the Starfires, who were unable to capitalize after getting on the board first.

For fans at Bullens Field, the night still carried added meaning because of the Bellamy promotion, but on the field it was Nashua that finished with the stronger performance. The Silver Knights left Westfield with a 3-1 win, while the Starfires were left searching for a bounce-back effort in their next game.
