The update means the Bahrain Grand Prix will be staged in Malaysia rather than at its usual home venue. Sepang, located outside Kuala Lumpur, is the circuit named to host the race as part of the reshaped 2026 calendar.
Sepang is a familiar track for Formula 1 followers and has a history with the championship. The circuit previously staged F1 races, including the 2017 event where Max Verstappen took victory and Daniel Ricciardo finished second.
