A Russian-US crew has returned safely to Earth after completing a 241-day mission aboard the International Space Station. Russian cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergey Mikaev traveled back with NASA astronaut Chris Williams, ending a stay in orbit that lasted more than eight months.
The landing took place in Kazakhstan on Sunday, according to the report. Their return marks the close of a long-duration expedition on the ISS, where international crews live and work while carrying out research and station operations in orbit.
The mission highlights continued cooperation between Russian and American space agencies on the International Space Station. Even as crews rotate in and out of the laboratory, each landing is a major milestone after months in space and a key part of keeping the station staffed.
