Acorn TV has renewed the crime drama "Art Detectives" for a second season, giving the critically acclaimed series another run on the AMC Global Media streaming service. The show stars Stephen Moyer and is described as being set in the world of historical art.

The new season is scheduled to begin production this July, with filming taking place in Belfast and across Northern Ireland. That production plan keeps the series rooted in the region as it moves into its next chapter.

According to the announcement, the return will start with a two-part special in December. After that, Acorn TV plans to follow with a full six-episode season in 2027.

The renewal signals continued support for one of Acorn TV's notable crime titles, blending mystery storytelling with an art-focused backdrop. With Stephen Moyer returning and filming about to start, the series now has a clear path toward its next release.
