Lindsay Clancy is now on trial in Massachusetts in the case involving the deaths of her three young children at the family’s home in Duxbury. According to the report, opening statements were delivered Monday and the first testimony in the case has started.
The trial centers on allegations that Clancy killed her children in December 2022. The case has drawn sustained attention in Massachusetts because of the severity of the charges and the circumstances surrounding the deaths in the coastal town south of Boston.
Court proceedings have also touched on Clancy’s mental state in the period around the incident. The report says her former husband, Patrick Clancy, testified that in December 2022 she told her father that she wanted to die by suicide.
After that, Lindsay Clancy was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, according to the report. As testimony continues, the trial is expected to focus on the events in Duxbury and the evidence presented by both sides.
