According to the account from Reform UK, the post was shared with Polanski’s large Instagram following and showed a man wearing a T-shirt depicting the beheading of Farage. The dispute has been framed by Reform figures as a serious matter, not simply an example of heated online rhetoric.
Farage said Polanski should be arrested, escalating the row and pushing it into a wider debate about political language, threats and responsibility on social platforms. Reform UK home affairs spokesperson Zia Yusuf also publicly condemned the post, describing what had been shared and drawing further attention to the incident.
Polanski deleted the content, but its removal did not end the fallout.
