The Godavari River in Nashik is still running high, even after reaching its biggest rise in seven years. Water levels remain elevated enough to keep parts of the riverfront affected, showing that conditions have not yet returned to normal.
One of the clearest signs is at Ramkund, where the Dutondya Maruti idol continues to stay partially underwater. According to the latest update, the water is still around waist level at the idol, which is widely seen as a visible marker of how high the river has risen.
The impact is also continuing in nearby low-lying areas. Small temples around Ramkund were still reported to be partially submerged, indicating that the swollen Godavari is continuing to spread into vulnerable spots along the banks.
The situation highlights how the river remains above its usual flow despite the peak having passed. In Nashik, the partially submerged idol and waterlogged riverbank structures remain the most visible reminders of the unusually high Godavari level.
