Police in Johor say they have broken up two online scam syndicates operating in Forest City, Iskandar Puteri, with 335 suspects taken into custody. Authorities announced the arrests on Tuesday, describing the operation as a major crackdown on fraud activity in the area.
According to the information released, most of those arrested were foreign nationals. Johor’s police chief said the suspects were believed to be linked to two groups involved in online scam operations.
