Ukraine faced another wave of deadly Russian attacks, with reported casualties in several southern areas, while public anger over a defence shake-up kept people in the streets for a second day.

According to the reported details, two people were killed aboard a foreign vessel in Mykolaiv. Additional deaths were also reported in Kherson and Odesa, underscoring the continuing danger around port areas and other targets in the country’s south.

The latest strikes came as Ukrainians continued demonstrating against changes in the country’s defence leadership. The protests reflected growing public concern over the decision, turning a military and political controversy into a visible domestic challenge.

The combination of renewed attacks and ongoing demonstrations highlights the pressure Ukraine is facing on multiple fronts. As Russian strikes continue to hit key locations, the unrest over the defence shake-up is adding another layer of strain at a tense moment for the country.
