Two hotel companies entered ChatGPT this week with new travel tools, but neither appears to support payment inside the chatbot. The launches came a day apart and highlight how hospitality brands are testing AI assistants as a new way for travelers to search and plan stays.

Radisson Hotel Group introduced a ChatGPT app built with Accenture. According to the announcement, the tool covers more than 1,000 hotels across over 100 countries, giving the company a broad global presence inside the AI platform.

G6 Hospitality also rolled out a ChatGPT plugin, putting a second hotel group into the same emerging channel from a very different part of the market. With one brand positioned at a higher tier and the other at the budget end, the back-to-back releases suggest interest in ChatGPT is spreading across the hotel industry rather than staying limited to one segment.

The notable limitation is that travelers still cannot pay within ChatGPT itself. That means these hotel tools are more about discovery, trip planning and guiding users toward a booking path than delivering a fully completed purchase from start to finish inside the chat interface.
