GMKtec has unveiled the Neo-X1 series in China, introducing two new desktop PCs aimed at buyers who want high-end performance in a relatively compact design. The lineup includes a standard Neo-X1 model and a Neo-X1 Pro variant, both housed in 14.6-liter chassis.
A key part of the announcement is the use of AMD's MoDT platform, which means the systems rely on mobile processors rather than traditional desktop chips. GMKtec is also highlighting water-cooled AMD CPUs, suggesting the Neo-X1 family is built to balance strong processing power with thermal management inside a smaller case.
On the graphics side, the new machines can be configured with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070, positioning the series for gaming and demanding creative workloads. That combination of liquid cooling, AMD-based processing, and a modern Nvidia GPU makes the Neo-X1 range one of GMKtec's more performance-focused desktop releases.
GMKtec says the Neo-X1 series starts at CNY 11,999, which is roughly $1,773. With two models, a compact footprint, and premium hardware options, the launch appears to target users looking for a powerful desktop PC without moving to a full-size tower.
