Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has said the sport will wait until September before making a final call on the Qatar and Abu Dhabi grands prix. He also made clear that Las Vegas is not being lined up as the place where the season would finish if late changes are needed.
The update points to continued uncertainty around the closing part of the calendar, with the Middle East conflict still affecting planning. While the final two races in Qatar and Abu Dhabi remain under review, Domenicali indicated that Formula 1 is not preparing a replacement event in the United States.
That means any potential reshuffle would not involve ending the championship in Las Vegas. The current position, based on Domenicali's comments, is that the sport will take more time before deciding how the late-season schedule should look.
Formula 1 has already shown some flexibility elsewhere by arranging for Malaysia to host the 2026 Bahrain Grand Prix. That move appears to address one of the scheduling issues created by the broader regional situation, even as decisions on Qatar and Abu Dhabi are left until later.
