A burglary was reported near KK Nagar in Trichy after thieves allegedly broke into a locked house and escaped with gold jewellery and diamond stones. The case has drawn attention because of the value of the items reported missing.
According to the initial details available, the burglars stole 31 sovereigns of gold and 20 diamond stones. The diamond stones were said to be worth around Rs 3.5 lakh, adding to the scale of the loss suffered by the household.
