The Centre has said it cannot yet predict when the final investigation report into the Ahmedabad air crash will be ready. The update indicates that the probe is still in a technical review stage, with investigators continuing to examine critical aircraft systems before drawing conclusions.
According to the civil aviation minister, checks on the fuel control switch detents at the original equipment manufacturer’s facility in Seattle did not show any abnormalities. That finding rules out at least one immediate concern, but it does not close the broader investigation.
The inspection of the thrust control module by India’s civil aviation safety regulator is still underway at the manufacturer’s site. At the same time, a more detailed examination of relevant components and evidence is continuing, suggesting that officials are working through multiple technical leads before finalising the report.
For now, the government’s position is that no firm timeline can be offered for the final Ahmedabad air crash probe report. The latest update points to a cautious approach, with authorities waiting for the full set of technical findings before releasing their conclusions.
