Lenovo has rolled out the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 internationally, positioning the device as a new alternative to Microsoft’s Surface Pro 12. The detachable model combines a tablet-style design with ThinkPad branding and arrives with several premium specs aimed at mobile productivity users.
According to the release details, the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 is available with Intel Panther Lake processors and a 120 Hz display. Lenovo is also offering optional 5G cellular connectivity, which could make the device more appealing for buyers who want a Windows detachable that can stay connected away from Wi-Fi.
Memory options were previously outlined at 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB of LPDDR5X-7467 RAM. However, current listings appear to top out at 32 GB for now, suggesting that the 64 GB configuration may not yet be broadly available at launch.
With its international release, Lenovo is finally bringing its long-awaited Surface Pro-style competitor to market. The mix of Intel Panther Lake hardware, a high-refresh-rate display and optional 5G gives the ThinkPad X13 Detachable Gen 1 a clear focus on users looking for a more business-oriented detachable PC.
