Francisco Trincao's future is still undecided after Al Ahli reportedly reached an agreement with Sporting Lisbon for a deal worth around £38 million. Despite that progress between the clubs, the winger has not yet accepted the move.

That leaves the situation open, with Manchester City still said to be among the options being considered by the 26-year-old. At this stage, there is no suggestion of a completed City move, but the player’s decision means the transfer picture remains active.

For Sporting, the current position suggests a significant sale is possible if Trincao eventually agrees to the Saudi switch. Until then, any club still in the running has reason to believe the move is not fully settled.

City’s continued presence on the shortlist adds another layer to the story, especially with Al Ahli already having advanced talks on the fee side. For now, the key issue is simple: Trincao has yet to make his final choice.
