Casio has introduced the CRW-H001M-8, a new ring watch that adds health tracking to the company's wearable lineup. The model is priced at 1,990 yuan and is being positioned as a lower-cost alternative in a market better known for dedicated smart rings such as the Oura Ring 5.
The key change is the addition of sensors built into the inner surface of the ring. According to the announcement, the device can measure heart rate, blood oxygen, body temperature and sleep, giving it a much broader health focus than Casio's earlier ring-style wearable.
That marks a notable shift from the original CRW-001 released in 2024. The earlier version did not include health tracking, so the CRW-H001M-8 represents Casio's first attempt to combine its ring watch concept with wellness features that have become standard in the smart ring category.
With this launch, Casio appears to be expanding beyond novelty or style-driven wearables and into practical health monitoring. The CRW-H001M-8 stands out by blending a watch-inspired ring design with biometric tracking, while also entering the conversation around more affordable smart ring options.
