His comments suggest the relationship between F1 and Germany has improved after a period in which the country has been missing from the championship schedule.
The German Grand Prix has not appeared on the Formula 1 calendar since 2021, leaving one of motorsport’s historic markets without a race. Domenicali indicated that ties have been rebuilt, opening the door to fresh talks about bringing the event back in a more stable, long-term way rather than as a one-off solution.
Hockenheim remains the circuit most closely associated with any comeback plans. While no return has been confirmed, the latest update points to ongoing conversations about how Germany could fit into Formula 1’s future calendar and whether the race could be staged on a sustainable basis.
For F1, a German GP revival would restore a notable venue and reconnect the series with a major European audience. The current position appears to be one of cautious progress, with talks continuing but no final agreement yet announced.
