DSC A24, the fifth and final vessel in the Diving Support Craft project, was launched on August 1, 2026, at Titagarh in Kolkata, West Bengal. The launch was announced in an official update from India’s Ministry of Defence.
The ceremony was conducted with full naval traditions. Mrs Kamal Singh launched the vessel in the presence of Vice Admiral Gurcharan Singh, Chief of Personnel, marking an important milestone for the five-ship project.
With DSC A24 entering the water, the project has now reached the launch of all five planned Diving Support Craft. The event highlights continued progress in naval shipbuilding linked to the programme.
The Kolkata ceremony brought together naval representation and project stakeholders for the formal launch of the craft. DSC A24 now stands as the concluding ship in the series under the Diving Support Craft project.
