UAE authorities have frozen assets linked to Satish Sanpal, the star associated with Desi Bling, as part of a money laundering probe, according to the report. The action is said to have been taken by the Emirates' Financial Intelligence Unit, which asked banks, financial institutions and virtual asset service providers to restrict access to the relevant accounts.
The reported freeze goes beyond conventional bank relationships. It also covers financial services accounts and digital wallets connected to Sanpal, indicating that investigators are looking at both traditional and virtual asset channels as part of the case.
The order, said to have been issued around two weeks ago, reportedly also applies to accounts linked to Tabinda as well as companies associated with the Sanpal family. That suggests the scope of the inquiry is wider than one individual and includes related personal and corporate entities.
So far, the available details point to an ongoing anti-money laundering investigation in the UAE rather than a final legal outcome. The reported measures appear designed to prevent movement of funds while authorities review transactions and links between the people and businesses covered by the freezing order.
