A newly purchased AX Gaming RTX 5060 Ti reportedly survived a serious car crash in China, turning what should have been a routine upgrade into an unusual hardware repair story. According to the account, the graphics card was bent so badly that it appeared folded in half, yet the internal damage was limited enough for a successful restoration.
The key factor seems to have been the card’s short PCB design. With less board length to absorb twisting force, the most severe damage was reportedly concentrated in a smaller area instead of destroying more of the card’s components. That helped leave the GPU in repairable condition despite the dramatic physical deformation.
The report says the recovery only required one memory chip to be resoldered, rather than a broader rebuild of the entire board. After that work, the RTX 5060 Ti was said to return to full performance, suggesting the crash caused surprisingly little functional damage beyond the visible bending and the affected memory component.
Stories like this are rare, but they highlight how modern graphics card layouts can sometimes make the difference between a total loss and a repairable accident. In this case, a bent RTX 5060 Ti that looked beyond saving was apparently brought back to normal operation with relatively limited hardware work.
