ISRO Chairman V Narayanan said an initial technical glitch led to a 35-minute delay in the Vikram-1 launch at Sriharikota. According to him, the problem appeared during the automatic launch sequence but was identified and resolved quickly.
Narayanan explained that the issue surfaced at the point when control was being transferred from the ground segment to the rocket’s onboard computer. That handover is a key part of the countdown process, and the glitch briefly interrupted the planned launch timeline.
The space agency treated it as a technical issue within the launch sequence rather than a prolonged setback. ISRO’s explanation suggests the delay was precautionary, allowing teams to address the problem before proceeding.
