Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Israel must fully comply with the roadmap for the second phase of the Gaza Peace Plan, according to details of a phone call held on Aug. 3 with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
The call placed Gaza diplomacy at the center of discussions between Ankara and Riyadh. Erdoğan’s message focused on the need for the next stage of the peace plan to be carried out in full, underscoring Turkey’s position on implementation of the roadmap.
The conversation also highlighted the role of regional leaders in following developments related to Gaza. With the second phase of the plan in focus, Erdoğan’s remarks pointed to the importance of adherence to agreed steps rather than partial or delayed compliance.
The latest statement adds to ongoing diplomatic attention around Gaza and signals that Turkey is continuing to raise the issue in contacts with key regional partners, including Saudi Arabia.
