Karnataka is seeking to position Bengaluru as a global hub for deep technologies, with Chief Minister D K Shivakumar outlining the state’s ambition to lead India’s next phase of technological transformation.
The proposed focus areas include artificial intelligence, semiconductors, nanotechnology and broader innovation. The strategy is intended to strengthen Bengaluru’s role in advanced technology and support the growth of a globally significant deep-tech ecosystem.
Shivakumar said Karnataka is determined to lead the next wave of technological change. The plans place Bengaluru at the centre of the state’s efforts to expand its presence in emerging and high-impact technology fields.
