A man accused in a passport fraud case has been arrested after allegedly staying away from trial proceedings for more than five years. Police in Madurai identified the accused as Umasankar, who was wanted in connection with the case after reportedly violating bail conditions.

According to the available details, the arrest was made in Tiruchirappalli. The action followed the execution of a court-issued electronic warrant, which helped authorities trace and detain him after a long period of absconding.

The case centers on allegations of passport fraud, and the arrest is expected to bring the legal process back on track after years of delay. Authorities had been seeking the accused since he stopped appearing before the court.

With the accused now in custody, the matter is likely to move forward in court. The arrest highlights how bail violations can lead to prolonged legal complications and renewed police action even after several years.
