A BMTC electric bus reportedly broke down in Bengaluru, prompting an unusual recovery effort on the road. A Mahindra Thar was used to tow the disabled bus to the Hennur depot so traffic disruption could be reduced.
The incident drew attention because of the contrast between the compact SUV and the larger electric bus. According to the available details, the immediate priority was to move the vehicle out of the way and restore normal traffic flow in the area.
BMTC later said the electric bus was repaired after being taken to the depot. The transport operator added that the vehicle was fixed and put back into service.
The episode has highlighted both the operational challenges of electric public transport and the quick measures sometimes needed to keep city roads moving when a breakdown happens.
