A woman was arrested in Ashoknagar in West Bengal's North 24-Parganas district after CID officers allegedly found firearms and ammunition in her purse. The accused, identified as Puja Biswas, is being linked to a suspected arms racket.
According to the initial details, investigators seized six pistols, 200 rounds of ammunition and magazines during the operation. Officers also recovered cash and a train ticket to Bihar, items that could become part of the wider probe into possible weapons movement.
