Panchkula Police have seized 22 kg of poppy husk from a truck that had come from Rajasthan, according to the reported details of the case. The action led to the arrest of the truck driver, identified as Gurcharan Singh.

Police have booked the case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The seizure adds to ongoing enforcement efforts targeting the transport of banned narcotic substances across state routes.

Following the arrest, the accused was produced before a court, and police obtained a five-day remand. The remand is expected to help investigators examine the movement of the truck and the circumstances surrounding the alleged transport of the contraband.

The case now remains under investigation as officials look into the source and intended destination of the recovered poppy husk. The seizure highlights continued vigilance by local police in narcotics-related cases in the region.
