The result gives fresh life to the MXGP title race as the season moves deeper into its second half. Foxhills became a major swing round, with Herlings making the most of the opportunity and putting significant pressure on the leader heading into the next events.
In MX2, Guillem Farres also completed a perfect weekend by winning both motos and taking over the championship lead. That double victory handed him the red plate and pushed Sacha Coenen out of the top spot, adding another major shift to the standings in Britain.
The Foxhills round came only two weeks after Lucas Coenen and Farres had enjoyed dominant outings in South Africa, underlining how quickly momentum can change in motocross.
