A newly revealed flying robot is exploring an unusual approach to stealth: instead of relying on camouflage or advanced visual effects, it hides by spinning extremely fast. The concept turns the drone into a faint, buzzing blur that can be much harder for people to notice while it is in the air.
The device, called Phantom Twist, was developed by engineers as a different kind of drone visibility solution. Rather than changing its color or projecting an illusion, the robot uses rapid motion itself to become less distinct to the human eye.
