Stellantis has selected Mobileye to support upcoming hands-free driving assist features across its vehicle lineup. The automaker said the technology rollout is set to begin in 2027, bringing Mobileye’s driver-assistance system into brands under the Stellantis umbrella.
According to the announcement, Stellantis plans to use Mobileye’s EyeQ system-on-a-chip as part of its Level 2 hands-free driving setup. The companies also said the program will include Mobileye data crowdsourcing technology, which is commonly used to improve how vehicles interpret road conditions and driving environments.
The move signals Stellantis’ continued push to expand advanced driver-assistance features in vehicles from brands such as Jeep and Ram. Level 2 systems still require drivers to remain attentive, but they can handle certain steering, braking, and acceleration tasks under specific conditions.
For Mobileye, the deal adds another major automaker to its automotive technology portfolio. For Stellantis, the partnership gives it a path to roll out more automated convenience features as competition grows around software, chips, and assisted-driving systems in the global car market.
