According to MarineTraffic animations cited in the report, ships were still moving through the strait from Monday evening into Tuesday morning. That indicates the blockade announcement had not yet stopped transits, at least during the initial period after it was declared.
The report also pointed to market-based expectations around the risk of disruption, noting a 47.5% “YES” reading on successful Houthi targeting of shipping by July 31. That figure reflects continuing uncertainty over whether the group can translate its warning into a broader impact on commercial traffic.
