The Pentagon has identified the third U.S. soldier killed in the weekend Iranian attack in northern Iraq. On Tuesday, the Department of Defense said the service member was Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton, 30, of Fayetteville, North Carolina.
The announcement adds another name to the U.S. military casualties linked to the Iranian strikes. Defense officials released Swinton’s identity as the government continued to account for those killed in the attack.
