Tubi is significantly expanding its UK offering after striking a new set of licensing agreements that will bring roughly 900 films and TV episodes to the platform. The Fox-owned ad-supported streaming service is using the deals to broaden the range of titles available to British viewers.

The latest agreements involve 800 Pound Gorilla Media, Fremantle, the CBS AMC Networks UK Channels Partnership and Next Up. Together, those partnerships are expected to strengthen Tubi’s catalogue across both film and television as competition in the free streaming market continues to grow.

For Tubi, the move underlines its strategy of building scale through licensed programming rather than relying only on originals. A larger library can help ad-supported services attract more viewers by offering a wider mix of recognizable entertainment and niche content without a subscription fee.

The UK expansion also highlights the importance of content partnerships for streamers looking to grow in international markets. By adding hundreds of new titles through established distributors and media companies, Tubi is aiming to make its British service more compelling to audiences seeking free on-demand viewing.
