Under the new setup, most weeknight home games will begin at 7 p.m. or earlier. Weekend and holiday matchups will start at 6 p.m. or earlier, and most of those dates are expected to be matinees.
The earlier start times should make it easier for families to attend games and for fans to get home at a more manageable hour. That could be especially meaningful for school nights, when later finishes can be a challenge for parents and younger supporters.
