A violent robbery at a home in Karimnagar has drawn attention after masked attackers allegedly targeted an 80-year-old man and his family before escaping with valuables. According to the reported details, the group entered the house, assaulted the occupants and carried out a major theft.

The robbers are said to have taken away 66 tolas of gold, Rs 21 lakh in cash, silver items and two bikes. The scale of the haul suggests investigators may examine whether the crime was carefully planned and whether the attackers had prior knowledge of the household and its assets.

A key part of the investigation appears to center on suspicion involving the family’s son-in-law. While authorities are still piecing together the events, that angle could become important in determining whether the robbery was an inside-assisted operation or an externally organized attack.

The case has added to concerns over targeted home invasions involving elderly residents and large cash-and-gold thefts. Police are expected to continue tracking leads linked to the masked assailants, the stolen property and the suspected family connection.
