Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has launched the Samras Vidyasetu campaign, an initiative focused on bringing school dropouts back into the education system. The programme targets students from classes 1 to 12 and is aimed at reconnecting them with formal schooling.
According to the announcement, the campaign seeks to re-admit more than 80,000 children who are currently out of school. The larger objective is to move Gujarat closer to a zero-dropout situation by identifying affected students and helping them return to classrooms.
Samras Vidyasetu highlights the state government’s emphasis on educational access and continuity. By focusing on re-enrolment across primary, secondary and higher secondary levels, the campaign is positioned as an effort to reduce learning disruption and keep students engaged in the school system.
The initiative also underlines the role of support in helping children resume their studies. With this campaign, the Gujarat government is placing renewed attention on school retention and on ensuring that more students complete their education without dropping out.
