Bohemians produced a late turnaround to defeat Kosovan side Ballkani 2-1 in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League second qualifying round tie. The home side recovered from going behind and left it until the closing moments to complete the comeback.
Ballkani held the advantage before Bohemians responded after the break. Douglas James Taylor brought the Irish side level in the second half, shifting the momentum and setting up a tense finish in the European qualifier.
With the match seemingly heading toward a draw, Ross Tierney struck in the 90th minute to seal the win for Bohemians. His late goal gave the hosts a narrow edge at the end of the first leg and capped an important fightback.
The result puts Bohemians in front in the tie after overturning an early setback. A one-goal margin means the contest remains finely balanced, but the dramatic finish gives the Dublin club momentum heading into the return leg.
