Retired IAS officer M K Dave has been appointed as secretary to the Gujarat governor, according to a notification issued by the General Administration Department (GAD). The appointment has been made on a contract basis for one year.

Dave recently retired from government service after serving as the collector of Gandhinagar. His move to the Raj Bhavan office comes shortly after the end of his tenure in that role.

The development marks a new administrative assignment for the senior bureaucrat in Gujarat. With his background in state administration, Dave is set to take charge of secretarial responsibilities linked to the governor’s office.

The notification formalizes the appointment and confirms the duration of the contract. The decision places a recently retired senior official in a key support position in the state’s constitutional office.
