Google is giving its AI note-taking app a new identity, changing NotebookLM to Gemini Notebook. The move ties the product more closely to the company’s broader Gemini AI brand as Google continues to unify its artificial intelligence services under one name.

Alongside the rebrand, Google is also preparing a wider integration for the app’s notebooks. According to the report, users will soon be able to open and use their notebooks from within AI Mode in Google Search, extending the tool beyond its standalone experience.

The update suggests Google wants Gemini Notebook to play a larger role in how people gather information, organize research, and interact with AI-generated summaries or notes. Bringing notebooks into Search could make that workflow more directly connected to web queries and AI-assisted browsing.

While the report focuses on the name change and Search integration, the shift highlights Google’s ongoing effort to make Gemini the center of its consumer AI products. Gemini Notebook appears set to become the latest part of that broader strategy.
