The Gujarat government has started the Samras Vidya Setu Mega Campaign to bring children who left school back into the education system. The initiative is aimed at re-enrolling more than 80,000 students and supporting the state’s broader target of achieving zero dropout.
According to the announcement, identified children will be brought back to classrooms through a focused enrollment effort. Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel said the campaign is designed to reconnect these students with formal schooling and strengthen access to education across the state.
The drive highlights the government’s attempt to address one of the most persistent challenges in school education: keeping children in the system continuously. By identifying students who have dropped out and helping them return, the campaign seeks to reduce learning gaps and improve long-term educational participation.
The launch of Samras Vidya Setu signals a large-scale push by Gujarat to make school attendance more inclusive and consistent.
