Iran has called on Gulf Arab states and Jordan to publicly clarify a US Central Command claim that suggested they had a direct role in recent American attacks. The demand came from Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, who said Tehran wants an official explanation from the governments concerned.
The dispute centers on statements attributed to CENTCOM about possible regional involvement. By asking for formal clarification, Iran is pressing neighboring countries either to confirm or reject any suggestion that they supported US military action.
