A key part of the court’s approach is its push for clarity from the Centre on a computer-based test, or CBT, plan for NEET. The judges also sought a response on measures aimed at stopping paper leaks and strengthening the overall conduct of the exam.
According to the proceedings described in the report, the bench wants to examine reforms that can improve the integrity of NEET on a lasting basis. Instead of limiting the discussion to temporary relief, the court appears to be looking at how the examination process can be made more secure and reliable year after year.
The Supreme Court also said it would keep watch over the matter through the year, underscoring the importance it is placing on exam governance. That suggests the case may evolve into a broader review of how NEET is administered, with the court pressing for clear answers on technology, security and systemic reform.
