Hull City have completed the signing of Hidemasa Morita on a free transfer. The defensive midfielder has agreed a two-year contract, and the deal also gives the club the option to extend it by a further season.
Morita joins after leaving Sporting at the end of the 2025-26 campaign. His departure brought an end to a four-year spell with the Portuguese side, allowing Hull City to bring him in without a transfer fee.
The move gives Hull another option in midfield, with Morita arriving as a player whose primary role is to protect the back line and add balance in the centre of the pitch. For the club, it is a chance to strengthen that area with an experienced addition.
