State Bank of India has added 1,930 Circle Based Officers, or CBOs, in a nationwide recruitment move aimed at improving customer service and reinforcing day-to-day banking operations across its branch network.
The new officers are expected to play a direct role in branch functioning, with a focus on customer engagement and smoother service delivery. The recruitment comes as SBI works to strengthen how its branches handle client needs in different parts of the country.
According to the announcement, these officers will help support more personalised banking services while also contributing to operational efficiency. Their deployment across the bank’s wide network is intended to boost service standards at the branch level.
The hiring reflects SBI’s continued effort to build capacity on the ground and improve the customer experience through stronger staffing in frontline banking roles. With branches spread across India, the addition of Circle Based Officers is expected to support both service quality and branch performance.
