Chinese manufacturers of household cleaning robots are tightening their grip on the global market. According to the report from Dalian, the country’s top five makers now account for about 70% of worldwide share, underscoring how strongly China has emerged in this consumer technology segment.

The shift is notable because competition is no longer being framed mainly around low prices. Instead, Chinese cleaning robot companies are pushing growth through innovation and product differentiation, aiming to stand out with distinct capabilities rather than relying only on cost advantages.

That approach suggests the market for robot vacuums and related home cleaning devices is becoming more mature and more competitive. As more brands fight for attention, manufacturers appear to be betting that better design, smarter functions and a clearer product identity will help them win over buyers in global markets.

The result is a stronger position for China in the household cleaning robot industry. With major players holding a large share of worldwide sales, the sector is increasingly being shaped by Chinese companies that are expanding their influence through technology development as well as scale.
