Primate Labs has launched Geekbench 7, a new version of its cross-platform benchmarking software for Windows, macOS, Linux, Android, and iOS. The update adds several new tests and platform changes aimed at making benchmark results more relevant to current hardware and software workloads.
One of the biggest additions in Geekbench 7 is CUDA support, expanding GPU-related testing for systems that use NVIDIA’s computing platform. The release also introduces new AI workloads across major platforms, reflecting the growing importance of machine learning tasks in everyday computing and performance comparisons.
On the CPU side, Geekbench 7 includes a new Game Physics test and revises how multi-core scores are calculated. According to the release details, the new scoring approach is intended to be smarter about how modern processors handle work across multiple cores, rather than relying on older assumptions about scaling.
The benchmark’s baseline has also changed in this version. Geekbench 7 now uses an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 as its reference system, replacing the Intel Core i7-12700 baseline used in Geekbench 6. Together, the new baseline, updated workloads, and broader platform support mark a notable refresh for one of the most widely used benchmark suites.
